Whatever you choose, don't store yours in the PVC flips you frequently see in the market. They are comprised of PVC which decomposes in time and ruins the coin it was intended to protect. If you acquire a coin already in one of these, transfer it as soon as possible to something better. You might consider acetate flips, but realize that they are brittle and might scuff the piece if isn't inserted and removed with care. Although they are not airtight, they are alternatives for moderate value coins that will untouched for many years. |
