Whatever you choose, don't store yours in the PVC flips you often find on the market. These are comprised of polyvinyl chloride which breaks down in time and ruins the coin it was intended to protect. If you purchase a coin already in such a sleeve, move it ASAP to something better. You might consider Mylar, but recognize that these are hard and may scuff the piece if isn't inserted and removed carefully. While they aren't air-tight, they're choices for moderate value coins that will untouched for numerous years. |
